On February 28, UCLA Fielding's WORLD Policy Analysis Center will launch Equality Within Our Lifetimes, a new, freely-accessible e-book published by UC Press. As part of the launch, the center will join partners at New America for a book discussion hosted and moderated by Haley Swenson and featuring authors Jody Heymann and Aleta Sprague.
Alongside the book, the center will be releasing over 100 new global policy maps, policy briefs available in three languages, and downloadable data covering all 193 countries.

Building and using a one-of-a-kind database that covers 193 countries, Equality Within Our Lifetimes systematically analyzes how far we’ve come and how far we have to go in adopting evidence-based solutions to close the gender gaps in the economy. Spanning topics including girls’ education, employment discrimination of all kinds, sexual harassment, and caregiving needs across the life course, Equality Within Our Lifetimes brings the findings to life through global maps, stories of laws’ impact in courts and beyond, and case studies of making change.
